Hi everybody! Almost three months ago I wrote my first blog, it was time to write a second and tell you how is going my life in Romania and more specifically in Baia Mare.
If I had to sum it up in one word it would be: Perfect! The truth is that I could never imagine that I would ever feel here in my own home. During this time I have been discovering many things about Romania and I can say that everything is positive. The truth is that I spent some time trying to find something negative that makes my stay here less pleasant and I have not got it.
One of the reasons why I feel this way here is due mainly to the great similarity between Romania and Spain. Culture, people and weather are very similar to my country. Although there are also differences such as food, infrastructures, and landscapes. But that is different does not mean that it is worse, on the contrary, even the different things are what makes me like to be here.
It should also be noted that part of “fault” has my project partners (IN4EVS) and T4UTH coordinators, especially Remus (my coordinator). We have managed to make a healthy team , simple and funny, in which working together is becoming easier, and with all the hours we spend together is very important.
Finally, I do not want to forget all the people I have known all this time and who have a great fault that I have taken root here. Like my fellow Arrival Training in Bucharest, the local volunteers, my French flatmates, and above all a very special person and her family.
Both the climate, the food, the landscapes, the culture and the work, are things that add up when you live such an experience, but the people you meet and who make a hole in your heart – multiply it!
Jorge (Spain) is hosted in Baia Mare by Team for Youth Association, in the “IN4EVS” project, an European Voluntary Service financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus Plus Program.
