The diary of a French guy in Baia Mare (II) – Baptiste Venegas

Hello everybody, its me again!

In the last month, I passed an entire week going to the office to do few activities to learn how to do origami, dogs / swords / flowers… it was really fun and we also talked about the summer camps. We made some preparations about it because we have to be ready and we also want to do it correctly. I love children and also Chloe and we didn’t want to fail the summer camps so we have a huge pressure on us because for the moment we are only 3 volunteers for the one year project and we can feel that we miss the 7 others volunteers, WE NEED THEM !!!

During this month, some volunteers left Romania and it was really hard for me to loose my new friends because I was really attached to them. This is at same time the reason why I do EVS, because I’ll obviously meet nice people with many common points and from different countries. For real if you have time and interest for it, DO IT because it’s something really instructive and marvelous. Understand that there is also the local volunteers who are really cool! They do a lot of things for us and also with us so you can consider them as a permanent help.

Since I am here I’m still feeling good with my situation and with Romanian people. I did a lot of things, I also learned a lot about Romania or animation and when I think about the rest of the year I’m going to pass here I just can’t wait. I want to see more and more about children in villages, about Romania, about “gypsies” and about their knowledge. I feel so ignorant and so open minded at same time and it’s a good thing because it means that you still have a loooooot to learn.

I hope you enjoyed to read as much I enjoyed to write and live it, see you next time! 😀
