I had been checking EVS projects for a long time before I chose ”ReAnimate” in Baia Mare (Romania). I started out of curiosity, as I was always busy, working and living abroad. But I think I knew that I would pursue EVS and make time for it before it was too late for my age.

My adventure in Romania started about a month and a half ago. I did not know what would have reserved this new experience away from my city and my country. At first time I was frightened by the idea of not being able to acclimate and not being able to face this experience. Instead, I was wrong.

Hello, my name is Jennifer! I am 26 years old. Before my volunteering I was a working. I was a social integrated French girl willing to discover the world but afraid of making the first step. One day I realized it was time to go and I started to look for volunteering that could make me rich of new culture and knowledge, and I fell in love with T4UTH project. It was exactly what I was looking for: working with children in Romania!

Monica Mihai este din Buzău și este la finalul stagiului ei SEV din Polonia, orașul Lodz. Timp de șase luni a luat parte la activitățile Bibliotecii pe trei nivele – ”3 Pietra”, organizând activități cu vizitatorii bibliotecii sau cu copii, cluburi de cărți europene sau seri interculturale, alături de ceilalți voluntari. Gândurile ei, mai jos.

EVS Stories – Peru: Un Loc Plin de Experiențe

Am plecat din România pe 1 Noiembrie 2015, cu destul de multe emoții, neștiind ce mă asteaptă. După un zbor de aproape 20 de ore am ajuns în sfârșit în Lima. Am fost socată de traficul de acolo. Locuind în București timp de câțiva ani, ai zice că sunt obișnuită cu traficul infernal. A doua zi seara, aveam autocarul către Huamachuco, un drum de aproximativ 14 ore. Chiar dacă am plecat cu taxiul aproape 40 de minute înainte (fiind foarte aproape de locul de unde urma să plece autobuzul), am ajuns cu 2 minute înainte să plece autocarul. De atunci am invățat că în Peru trebuie să-ți calculezi foarte bine timpul, dacă nu vrei să pierzi autocarul
