Bună! Mă numesc Andrea, am 22 de ani și realizez programul European Solidarity Corps (ESC) la Asociația Hors Pistes în Marseille, Franța. ESC este un program de voluntariat finanțat de Uniunea Europeană pentru tineri între 18 și 30 de ani unde participanții își pot alege să lucreze într-un proiect la o asociație în altă țară timp de maxim un an. Totul este gratuit (cazare, transport etc.) și se primește și o indemnizație lunară pentru nevoile de bază, care diferă de la o țară la alta.

Spre a înțelege o populație, cred că este fundamental să le înțelegi cultura pentru a putea comunica și pentru a te putea pune în locul celorlalți. Bazele fundamentale ale culturii romilor sunt respectul, adevărul, bunătatea, fraternitate, modestia și decența.

Trăind într-o societate ce se mișcă cu mare viteză, mai ales în vremurile actuale de pandemie, ne este afectată profund sănătatea mentală și bunăstarea generală. O sănătate psihologică și fizică este un factor de influență în dezvoltarea tinerilor independenți și încrezători, în special a celor cu mai puține oportunități. Obiectivul principal al acestui proiect este de a împuternici 25 de tineri din diferite țări în vederea incluziunii sociale, a dezvoltării personale și a participării active în societatea civilă.
