I am from Belarus, from the small but very old town Lida (I’m not very old, only 19), and I’m volunteering for the project COW – Citizens of the World – for almost 2 months (to be honest, this week I will write my YouthPass, pack my small bag and leave this beautiful country). But before I’ll leave I want to share with you my incredible Romanian experience. So make yourself comfortable and let’s get it started.

Majoritatea postărilor despre experiențele EVS (actualul Corp European de Solidaritate) pe care le-am răsfoit subliniază un moment de schimbare radicală, urmate de mulțumiri către prieteni și organizatori, și de o înșiruire de momente care le ilustrează transformare. Poate într-o anumită măsură, la asta m-am așteptat și eu când am aplicat pentru un program ESC pe Coasta de Azur în Franța.

Yes Ionut, you got it, I felt in love with my experience here and I am sorry for all the people despising this country. They really do not know what they are missing by not discovering your places and exchanging with your people. They really do not know what they are missing by being stopped from their representations and prejudices.

Voluntariat în Belarus: Citizens of the World

Proiectul “Citizens of the World” este un proiect de voluntariat internațional, în cooperare cu asociația Office for Initiatives Promotion – O.I.P. (Belarus) și Team for Youth (România).
Scopul principal al proiectului este creșterea nivelului de înțelegere a culturii, a problemelor sociale și a diversității etnice în rândul tinerilor din Belarus și România. Voluntarul selectat va lucra cu tineri din Minsk, utilizând metode de educație non-formală cu scopul de a promova pacea, înțelegerea multiculturală și de a diminua stereotipurile. Voluntarii vor lucra într-o echipă formată din alți voluntari internaționali, traineri, coordonatori și voluntari locali. Tematicile din proiect vizează problema migranților, minorităților și persoanelor din medii defavorizate.
