Schimbul de tineret ”Velo-City” a dat ocazia unui grup de 8 tineri români să petreacă o săptămână alături de tineri din alte țări în pădurea Ukmerge din Lituania. Alături de cercetașii lituanieni și colegii de proiect aceștia au dezvoltat o serie de activități interculturale și educaționale bazate pe mișcarea în aer liber și viața sănătoasă într-un context nou, utilizând jocuri non-formale. Un proiect cu multe activități outdoor și cu multe (multe) biciclete.

At the beginning of July, we were for one week in a training called CONNECTOR, hosted in Bucharest. Each of us had to choose one different workshop, so I chose: HUMAN LIBRARY! We had three days for learning and understanding the method, two days to prepare the event and one day for presenting our work.

I have learned just to go with the flow

Everybody has their own reasons for going abroad and experiencing the EVS volunteer program. I was really afraid of speaking English and my friends said I should do EVS and then I got this idea and my thinking was that it’s now or never.

EVS Stories – The Learning Experience (II)

Firstly, I was at Connector training together with other volunteers from our association. Although it was very intensive, I liked it very much because we had a lot of workshops from which to choose. My workshop was about public speaking, so I had the chance to learn a lot about myself and about how to speak in front of people.
