Hello, we are volunteers Samuele and Melike in Team for Youth Association. We spent our three days for Mid-Term Evaluation meeting in Bucharest. In this period we understood our position inside our volunteering project here in Romania, get motivate by the facilitator, share our experience and learned better what’s the ESC program plan.
We will share everything with you, hope you can appreciate as much as we did. 🙂
At this event, we had the opportunity to meet 30 volunteers from different regions of Romania, all divide by their different languages and cultures, we spent with them the Mid-Term and also all the free time this project give to us, at least these 3 days.
We talked about our projects (what we are doing, what we wanted to do from the start, but also the problem we found inside, the difficulties and the obstacles we found to live in a different country), motivation in your process (helped by the great facilitators they give us the same energy we had at the start, some of them need this). We find solutions together to the challenges we have experienced by type of games we divide in groups to discuss and try to solve by different point of views the problematic situations some of the volunteers found in their way.
We talked about our expectations and future goals and at the end focus in the youthpass (how is it, how it works and how to do it). In particular the facilitators divide us in two groups and for 6 hours every day for three days (with coffee and lunch breaks) we followed the schedule they prepared before our arrived: every lesson was divided in one hour and a half meeting session. In the program we made games and activity for create a group like the ”mission impossible” when we tried to solve some general task in group, and our favorite activity, the treasure hunt: a trip in groups in Bucharest to discover, talk with the people and find things inside the capital.
Of course, this helped us to have an idea about many projects, and to understand the commons and different sides when we evaluate the process we are experiencing together. In addition, we have had unforgettable memories with new people!
