The DOIT Project! It seeks to promote non-formal education, volunteering and the use of languages as a starting point for the individual’s personal development, stopping stereotypes related to other cultures and improving the individual’s relationship with the society they live in.

I think that the essence of the project, or at least the reason for me being here now, is to get involved and accept, setting aside prejudices or stereotypes that have no purpose but to create walls that divide people from each other.

Finally, I am enjoying these months here in Baia Mare as is the first time in my life that I am taking time for myself. As besides working in the projects, I have time to do introspection, to understand what I want and what I need.

What do you expect when you are going to start a EVS? In my case, my expectations were improving my English, immersing myself in a new culture, meeting interesting people and learning a lot of things. OK, I wasn’t wrong but what I learned throughout these four months in Romania is so much more complex that what I had expected. It’s as complex as life itself.
