When I decided to volunteer in Romania, I never realized that two countries split for more than 3000 km could have so many things in common. Vara asta, alege să petreci 2 luni în minunatul orășel Alcobendas, de lângă Madrid. Centrul IMAGINA caută 2 voluntari creativi și optimiști care să lucreze în cadrul activităților de vară din programul de vară al municipiului, bazate pe activități cu tinerii și educație multiculturală non-formală. De asemenea, alături de voluntarii locali, se vor ocupa de reabilitarea refugiaților din centrul C.A.R. din apropiere de Madrid. Fii voluntar și IMAGINeaz-ți o lume mai bună, pe care să o creezi chiar TU!

A trecut o lună de când sunt aici și încă sunt la fel de entuziasmată ca la început. Înainte să ajung în Mussomelli mi-a fost puțin frică de ce va fi, însă până în momentul de față, este una dintre cele mai frumoase experiențe pe care le-am avut și sper să rămân la fel de pozitivă.

I have been in Romania quite a while now and since I arrived I have been noticing some similarities between Portugal and Romania. I don’t know if it is a way, for me, not to miss Portugal so much or not to feel that I’m away from home, or, maybe, to see that each country has its own culture and values.

Centrul comunitar La Sympathie este un centru educațional pentru copii unde aceștia, alături de voluntari, pot întreprinde activități after-school menite să le sporească creativitatea și independența.
