The summer camp booklet is a tool for youngsters that would like to replicate what EVS volunteers from the project “Life Skills for Rural Education” did in the rural communities of Maramures and Salaj, in the summers of 2016 and 2017. It includes the meaning of a summer camp. how to plan it, a template of a schedule, different ideas for activities and energizers, tips and tricks and results.
The booklet was created after the volunteers successfully implemented 11 summer camps with the participation of 318 children. “Life Skills for Rural Education” was a long term European Voluntary Service financed by the European Commission through Erasmus Plus Program. The services lasted from April 2016 to September 2017 and involved 8 volunteers from France, New Caledonia, Portugal, Spain and Italy.
