Are you Romanian and looking for an international experience this end of summer? How about working with animals in a hostel in Italian mountains?
The hostel offers to young volunteers an opportunity to work in environmental education. The hostel is located in the National Park of Appennino Tosco-Emiliano. The aim of the volunteering is to combine sustainable tourism with local traditions and territory enhancement through activities such as organizing thematic weekends, summer camps, educational workshops and so on.

Between 18 and 30 years old,
Available and interested to live in an isolated small village in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines,
Willing to live inside the hostel with little or no internet connection,
Ready to share the spaces, food with guests and staff,
Strong motivation to work with children and to do activities closely with the donkeys,
Animal and outdoor life lover,
Willing to sleep, during trekking, in a tent,
Past experiences in socio-educational context and volunteer work are appreciated,
Also experiences in trekking and italian language skills is appreciated but not mandatory,
Have a strong motivation in working with children and be ready to follow the association’s code of conduct
when working with them.
As an ESC volunteer, you will benefit of:
Pocket money (of 5€/day), food allowance, and reimbursement of travel expenses up to the established limit,
Accommodation (volunteers will live in a double room inside the Ostello dei Balocchi hostel with a private bathroom. In the hostel there is a fully equipped kitchen and a living room that you can freely use, the volunteers could be moved to another room or house in case that the hostel will be full, for few days),
Training and mentoring,
Complementary medical insurance for the entire duration of the mobility (HENNER),
Will hold YOUTH PASS – Certificate of non-formal education. All these benefits are obtained through non-formal education, and they prepare young people for life through our activities in our organization.
