Numele meu este Jessica, am 25 de ani, și locuiesc în Timișoara. Până acum, am fost implicată în diverse activități de voluntariat, de la lucrul cu copii și tineri în diferite contexte, la munca de reprezentare într-o organizație studențească sau organizare de diverse evenimente. Momentan, sunt voluntară pentru două luni în Minsk, Belarus, în organizația Office for Initiative Promotion, în cadrul proiectului Citizens of the World.

I think that the essence of the project, or at least the reason for me being here now, is to get involved and accept, setting aside prejudices or stereotypes that have no purpose but to create walls that divide people from each other.

What do you expect when you are going to start a EVS? In my case, my expectations were improving my English, immersing myself in a new culture, meeting interesting people and learning a lot of things. OK, I wasn’t wrong but what I learned throughout these four months in Romania is so much more complex that what I had expected. It’s as complex as life itself.
